I am 5'7 and 129 lbs right now. I want to lose close to a stone before march 26th as i am going to new york then and i want to look good! I'm roughly a size 10 (uk) so what size would i be after the weight loss?|||the most that i've seen people lose is about 2 lbs a week. i suppose if you just starved yourself totally, you could lose more, but on a realistic level, 2 lbs is quite ambitious in itself. i think it would be exceedingly difficult to lose a stone in 6 weeks.

The way that i did it (and i lost about 1.5 lbs per week) was to keep a journal of everything i ate and to count calories. i even counted coffee as 5 - 10 calories. every single thing i ingested, i counted. i tried to stay under 1700 calories. for you as a female, you would want to ingest even less. i sometimes ate as little as 900 calories in a day.

basically, i went hungry for about 7 months. i lost 45 lbs.

i used a "calorie counter" to tell me how many calories i should be eating in a day. here is one. there are others. they vary slightly in what they suggest.

1) don't eat between mealtimes unless its a piece of fruit. Always have 3 meals a day and make sure they are sufficient - don't have small portions
2) don't have any carbs after 6pm
