I found a full out train everyday academy for taekwando but every place I have visited so far thinks there the best, well my grand master is awesome well known and has a great personality aside from doing serious classes. The guy who runs this academy does not have much of a personality.|||each place is different. some choose to take martial arts very seriously, some just teach it for enjoyment.|||You could probabaly go to both or a week one place and a week at the other but it depends on why you want to do it if you wanna fight probably go to the other but if it's just for fun you know :) Well Good Luck.|||Academy? Tae Kwon do is taught in a dojang. Karate is taught in a dojo. Chinese arts are taught in a kwoon. Academy is a red flag for me. It is a word used to make folks think it is something it isn't, so be careful with terms like that. Best advice I have for you is to look closely at this place before joining. That said, I wonder why you would abandon a "grand master" who teaches you well, and has a "good personality" in favor of one you aren't certain about. Talk to him/her before changing teachers, as that is a serious move with consequences.|||An academy tends to offer training in different things with more than just one teacher. My school is an academy and offers training in different martial arts as well as chinese lion dance which is based in Kung Fu and hopefully soon dragon dance as well. It would be silly to call my school a dojo (which it started out as) when we also offer Chinese martial art. So it's just a name we had to come up with to cover all.|||No diffrence at all.|||Well I rather choose to rely on someone that knows what he is doing, because in real life if we speak about survival situation of life and death, then having a personality looks is not a guarantee that you can defend yourself accordingly, outer looks is just a cover that internally, you cannot hide the weakness of it. Besides on my experience, a Taekwondo training place that always said they are the best, are just get beaten during tournament, their moves are full of fancy tricks and they are lousy that let them unaware during real full contacts, because a words that came out on certain mouth, cannot help them if ever they want to prove anything. You must remember that once the flow on river are silently done, then you must expect that its deepness are quiet dangerous than anything you seen. . . . . . . . .
