Were making clay tea cups , using the pinch pot techniques but my pot always cracks .|||try using water and wetting it every once in while|||Wetting it is a good answer

Another way is to wedging the clay possibly sprinkling water on the clay when wedging to add moisture

Learning to adjust moisture in clay is part of ceramics
I can reduce water by wedging on a plaster slab
I can increase water by wedging and sprinkling with water|||Learning to wedge and work the clay to the right texture if it is cracking while you are working, your clay is too stiff.
If it is cracking after you have worked it and while it is drying for firing or while firing, then it is likely you have made the thickness uneven or make the density uneven - some parts are wetter than others next to them because of how water was on your hands and how you worked and thus when they dry the wetter parts shrink more, pulling from the stiffer dryer parts.|||spray with water cover with plastic bag then it should dry no cracks use plastic water sprayer for plants use mist setting
