What is the difference between Chiropractic and Medicine, and Chiropractic and Oseopathy?|||An Osteopath is a doctor who looks into alternative treatments; I heartily agree with this. A chiropractor is an over-rated massuse and one almost killed me trying to "cure" whiplash; BEWARE! MDs love to perscribe overpowerful drugs to help conditions. Of the 3 you mention, go with the Osteopath.|||Medical doctors (MD) and US Osteopathic doctors (DO) go to a real medical college. Chiropractors on the other hand go to chiropractic schools, akin to a trade school. Beside the anatomy courses, there is no comparison to the training. Most of the classes in chiro schools are simulation. They get no real training on actual sick patients, they just pretend on each other, or practice "exams" on rubber mannequins. Chiropractors try to convince people that they have an equivalent education as real doctors, But remember MD and DO training doesn't end with med school. There is resident, and internship requirement in addition to specialty training. Ask any chiropractor what hospital he did his rotations in,or what university his chiro school is affiliated with, and you will be met with a embarrassed look. Also to be examined are the requirements to enter training. We all know med schools only considers the cream of the crop. Chiro schools..not so much. A 2.5 GPA is an embarrassingly low prerequisite to enter into a "Doctorate" program. And lets not get started on the phony baloney, nonsensical, pseudo science crap that chiropractors try to sell to the public. http://www.rebuildyourback.com/chiroprac鈥?/a>
