ok so i just format my pc, and i forgot to backup ms office, then i took a flashdrive to copy the ms office folder to my flashdisk, but as soon as i plug it in to my pc, i search for the installer but can find it, is there anyway that i can install this??|||You can't, it has registry entries that obviously didn't get copied just from copy and pasting the installation folders. Unless you backed up the registry to the flash drive then you should be okay otherwise you'll need to reinstall office from the disc|||the installer is on the disk that came with office ..its not in the installed program files.
you need the disk|||This is ONLY the program files. It does not include the additional system library files, nor the registry settings. That is what the installer does. Without these located correctly and linked through registry entries the program will not run. You need the installation disk. And even if you had backed it up you would have the same problem.|||No you can not. Not from a copy of the program folder.

When a Windows Program is installed, much of the installation is stored in the program's folder. For example c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

But the rest of the program is files and libraries that have to be installed into various folders under the Windows Folder, Application Data folders in the various account profiles and changes that need to be made to the Windows Registry.

Without these files Windows is going to see you clicking on the executable, look for all the files, libraries, and registry entries and not find them and cause it to return an error.

There are applications that are designed to run from a single folder without registry entries, but they are few and far between and usually designed for portability on flash drives and the like.

You need the install disk.

If you need an office suite right now that is compatible with MS Office that can hold you until you acquire (legally I hope) another copy of it, then you can go to http://www.openoffice.org/ and download (for free) Open Office.

If you really wanted, you can also get a copy of Open Office that installs to a flash drive and can be run on any computer that has a USB port you can go here. http://portableapps.com/|||It's not possible to get Office running without the installer. You can download all Office installers from an official and safe source from "Digital River". You'll find all the download links here:
http://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-鈥?/a>

Make sure you pick the Office edition you had before, and remember you need to type in your serial upon installation.|||You need an installer disk not a flash drive.. ms office is a large files.Using disk could be much easier
to install your ms office.
