I am baking a cookie recipe that includes macadamia nuts but we don't have them in my country. So what can we use instead??|||1. Cook's Thesaurus: Nuts
Substitutes: macadamia nuts (use 3 times ... they turn your teeth orange. macadamia nut = Queensland nut = Australian nut ... want to roast your own macadamia nuts, put them in 275

Aside from what the cooks thesaurus recommends, I personally substitute walnuts for any of them along with almonds, pecans and even cashews. I have also substituted or added in addition, dates as they suggest.|||You can substitute anything! Really, for example, if you were making chocolate chip cookies and you don't have any, you just measure the same amount of any other nuts and throw them in. So any other nut you have available is good (:|||Cob nuts, filberts or almonds, macadamia nuts are very overrated & not particularly nice anyway.|||Cashews are tender like macadamia's. Also pecans, walnuts or hazel nuts would work.|||Brazil Nuts, Skinless Almonds or cashews|||I suggest chopped hazel nuts.|||just about any nut will do as long as you like the taste of them
