I'm supposed to be moving, but I don't want to start all over in my senior year. I'm a senior now and I only have until May to graduate, but seeing as I'm only 17 I can't just not be in school.

Thanks!|||There are no home schools outside your own home. In CA you file an affidavit (you can do it online at
http://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/ps/rq/affidavit鈥?/a> and as soon as you submit it you can start home schooling! It says private school, but in CA that is what a home school is.
You can then study what you want, with what materials you choose. There is very little paperwork, just attendance. Your parents will make a transcript of your home school classes.

Or...you can take the CHSPE. http://www.chspe.net/
The next test date is in March. It is math and two English parts, and when pass you have a diploma equivalent! No need to finish your second semester at all! That is what my daughter did in 10th grade. She studied for the exam (you have to be 16 or done with 10th grade) the second semester in home school and took the June test a few years ago. In CA you can just study the things you need for the test, as in home school you don't have any subject requirements.
