I'm a conservative, Christian, American patriot. I don't want to lose her, but she keeps hanging out with those people, and telling me all that weird stuff about how change comes from contradictions, nothing stays how it is, and since God doesn't exist, we ourselves have to work to create a better world. Why does she do that? How can I keep her from losing faith in God and her country?|||The simple answer is you cannot.|||She's giving you the clap-trap based on "dialectical materialism".
Ask her how well that worked out for the Soviet Union.
Even so-called Communist China has rejected that theory in part or in whole.
She might be a sweet kid but she's in over her head.
Ain't much you can do it, but let her grow up.
Experience and further study might eventually turn her around.|||I don't know anyone who knows how to fix stupid.|||You can do nothing for her if she will not help herself, except pray for her.
Most people have to learn for themselves the hard way. Unfortunitely, it usually takes some type of serious adversity before a person like this will search for God.|||'since God doesn't exist, we ourselves have to work to create a better world': this sounds fine to me.|||You can't do anything.
Give her time, she'll grow out of it.|||Slap her! Just kidding don't hit women. I don't understand that argument that since God doesn't exist, we ourselves have to work to create a better world ends in communism.|||you cant fix stupid, not even with duct tape...|||Lol - I'm sure you have "friends."|||That doesn't mean your friend is becoming communist. She simply has a atheistic belief, and that does not affect one's faith and loyalty for their Country.|||If you can gain about 40 pts on your IQ, she'll start to make sense. "Till then. you're bringing a knife to a gun fight.|||The beauty of being in a free country is that she can be a communist if she wants to and it really isn't the business of anyone else. Trying to make her more like you for your own selfish reasons will do nothing but push her away.|||You seem to be locked into your world. Where is your faith?
