I am doing a college report and need some information on this. A lot of websites are giving me health of PET fennecs, but i need those in a ZOO environment :)|||Fennec foxes can carry some disease that may be contagious to people such as: Tuberculosis, Rabies, Leishmaniasis, and some intestinal parasites.
They can also get the same illnesses as dogs.
As for Wild/Zoo Fennecs I couldn't find anything. One site even stated their is not much info on the wild Fennecs and more study is needed.
I would contact local zoos in your area and ask them if they have fennecs and if they could give you some info on them. I think that would be your best bet.|||Usually the signs in any wild or non-domestic animals, don't show up untill it is too late. The reason for this is because, in the wild if they show they are weak and vulnerable, it may get them killed, so they hide their symptoms as long as they can. But alot of the time, zoo's will take notes on each animal everyday and stay on a certain schedule for feeding's and what not. The most common sign off illness is probably things like diarea, behavior changes, not being interested in their food, and just anything out of the normal!
This can be for a pet or zoo environment for the most part, because most fennecs and wild/exotic animals are similar in that they do not show any symptoms and try to hide it so you really have to pay attention to the smallest details :]|||Thanks for answers|||their penis drops off :()
