Bring Bear Grylls with you.|||Dig a hole|||easiest way is in your mind. probably seen blue people drinking from the fountain of youth if you try hard enough.|||Dig, particularly, as someone said above, in a dry streambed. Look for cacti, which contain water. Also look for plants, as this may indicate an oasis or wetter area.|||Find a dry creek bed (they're known as 'wadis') and dig near it's base. The water won't be the cleanest, but it's water. The best time is any time where the sun isn't directly on the spot you are digging (night, late afternoon, early morning). Collect at these times if possible.|||Head for a high spot and look around for vegetation. A line of cottonwood trees will indicate an underground aquifer. An especially green spot probably marks a spring seep. Cactus juice is a source of water, provided you can get to the inside without turning yourself into a pincushion. Especially if you are in the Eastern Hemisphere, don't bother digging into a plant that looks superficially like a cactus but has milky sap.

Possibly the easiest way in some deserts is to rely on dew. You may not get it every day but dew and fog droplets can be picked off the plants or you could condense it on a sheet of metal, plastic, or whatever you have.
