Now there is a hard painful black mass. How can I remove it myself ?|||Well first let me say I realize self surgery is risky, painful, etc. and yous shouldn't do it. However, truth is I've done a lot of 'home surgery' on myself, for better or worse. Personally, I would scrub my hands very well with soap and water, then pour alcohol over where the sand is going to come out. Use a needle that has been soaking in alcohol to slowly pick down toward the knot until you can lift it out. When done, douse it with alcohol again, scream and cuss because it burns like hell and then put a bandaid on it. That is what I would do, but I totally recommend against it.
