Hi i was wondering how long does it take to become a police officer in NSW
from the beginning of university to the end

thanks!|||In New South Wales, it depends on the way that you want to become a police officer, if you pass the required medical, psychological and fitness tests etc.. If you want to start the course full time on campus, then Session 1 is 14 weeks fully at the College, you then do an 80 hour placement. Session 2 is another 14 weeks at the College. Session 1 can be studied off-campus breaking it up into two 14 week blocks, however, both options if your grades are suitable and you don't drop out, do Session 2 at the College. When you have passed your assessment, you become a Probationary Constable and do three 14 week blocks of Long Distance study whilst working in one of the Local Area Commands. If you manage to pass that, then you become a constable. The other State Police Academies or Colleges have similar procedures.
