Chimichurri (Dominican hamburger)
Many of our readers have requested this recipe, we had to comply. This dish is made throughout the Dominican Republic in small street stands, each with their own recipe and their own flavour. We tried to give you a general idea of how this dish is made. Feel free to adjust the flavour to your liking.
Time: 30 Mins
Difficulty: Medium
Serve: 4 people
Ingredients:
* 4 hamburgers buns
* 2 pounds of ground beef
* 1 large onion
* 2 large tomatoes
* 2 cups of shredded cabbage
* 1/4 cup of soy sauce
* 2 teaspoons of oil
* Salt
* Oregano
* Ketchup
* Mayonnaise
Preparation:
1. Add 4 teaspoons of salt to the meat. Form 4 patties the shape of a hamburger. Grill brushing with a mixture of soy sauce and oil to prevent it from over-drying.
2. Slice the onion and grill briefly. Slice the tomatoes. Soak the cabbage briefly in boiling water. Drain all the water. Put the meat in the bun, cover with tomatoes, onion and cabbage. Garnish with ketchup and mayonnaise.|||The only recipe I could find with Chimichurri and ground beef is this:
