I ordered a Bonsai tree through the post as a present for my dad. It is wrapped in clear plastic and in a cardboard box. It arrived in today but his birthday is in 2 days. Will the bonsai tree be ok if I leave it in all that packaging for 2 days? If not...what should i do? Take it out of all packaging and let it breath and water it???|||personally i would remove it from the box and wrapping and let it get some air and water...do not over water the plant either and regardless of what any instructions say never submerge a bonsai tree into water until bubbles stop.

If the soil is dry give it a small watering, they would have given it a good one before wrapping it so it should still be damp, if so no need to water.

leave it on your window seal until ready to re-package for your father...also tell him to get a book on bonsai care, a brilliant author is Peter Chang|||The bonsai should be taken out of the box and if it is dry it should be watered. It needs air and light. The site below has a lot of good information about bonsai.|||Should be fine not much growing going on this time of year.|||i think you should. if your worried. actually thats one of those things better given unwrapped.
